Learning for the Future

We are also fortunate that Crown Hills is a Community College, which gives us wider opportunities to work with our community both during the day and evening and with all ages and cultures. Learning can be for exams or fun. We can provide facilities for groups to meet and for regular events. We are continually looking for new ways to develop our College to reflect the needs of our community. Being a Community College we continue to maintain and develop excellent links with the local community, including the Police. We run an extensive programme of classes and activities for all ages. This year the Staff and Governors hope to involve members of the community in a process of developing the Community College as a centre for an even more broad cross-section of the community. Integrate careers work into the curriculum from Year 7 at Crown Hills.
Carry out detailed careers evaluation in Year 10
Allow every student to go on a 2 week Work Experience in Year 11
Have developed many links with industry to come to Crown Hills or for us to go to them.
