Our Values
|
We wish to make clear just what we believe Crown Hills stands for. Teachers, Governors and Parents have agreed the following values that we think are central to our continued success.
|
Education
|
Crown Hills Community College exists to provide top quality education for the area that it serves. We believe that it will best do that by:
- Making sure that the education it provides is relevant to the needs and aspirations of that community and the individuals within it.
- Making sure that the education is efficiently and sensitively managed to get the best results from the resources available.
- Recognising, celebrating, respecting and building on the cultural diversity of our community.
- Working with all relevant partners: students, teachers, other staff, parents, governors, the wider community and the LA to achieve the best possible success for all users.
- Making sure that all users feel welcome and valued as a vital first stage to being able to take full part in the education that we provide.
- Recognising that an important resource is its employees. It will seek to recruit and retain a well motivated and well trained workforce to offer equal opportunities, to encourage high performance and to develop a sense of team spirit.
- Finding ways of dealing with problems and complaints in a constructive and friendly manner.
- Supporting, nurturing and challenging all partners to achieve the highest possible standards of educational success.
- Being open, honest, hard-working and constructively self-critical.
- Developing clear policies, procedures and practices and clear lines of communication to carry out these points.

Investors in People
|
Crown Hills was redesignated its 'Investors in People' status in September 2006.
We were praised for being a 'caring school'.
Over 30 Crown Hills staff were interviewed and the assessor concluded that; "Crown Hills is a school which cares about the development of staff skills and opportunities and a place where staff communicate well with each other".
