Crown Hills currently offers a one year GTP (Graduate Training Programme) course with the provider EM Direct (Education Management Direct). We are able to take a maximum of two trainees per year in a range of subjects areas offered by EM Direct.
We are currently recruiting for September 2010. There will be a taster day on October 6th 2009. This day allows potential trainees to find out more about the GTP process and the college. You will have opportunity to talk to the current trainees, members of staff who have been through the GTP process as well as meeting members of the faculty in your specialist subject. It also allows us to meet you and find out more about individual applicants before they apply for school endorsement.
If you wish to attend the taster day, you will need to contact the college and arrange a place at the October session. You will need to let us know your qualifications and subject specialism. October 6th will be the last taster day Crown Hills offers as applicants for September 2011 will follow a different application procedure.
If you would like to attend, please contact Susie Fensome (0116 2736893).
There will be a maximum of 20 places on the taster day and we will consider applications only from those who have attended on October 6th. Please be aware that we cannot take trainees wishing to teach Citizenship or Lifeskills as these courses are not available through EM Direct. The 20 places on the taster day will be allocated to those who have the appropriate qualifications and experience on a first come first served basis. Please do not contact the college speculatively for either a GTP place or for placements as we are no longer able to respond to applications individually.
